Commenting on the announcement of £400m to be shared by 62 colleges to upgrade their buildings, Paul Whiteman, general secretary of school leaders’ union NAHT, said:

“We welcome investment from the government to update college campuses. This investment is sorely needed to bring college buildings into the twenty-first century and to repair the dilapidation and damage done by more than a decade of chronic underfunding.”
