NAHT represents more than 37,000 school leaders in early years, primary, secondary and special schools, making us the largest association for school leaders in the UK. Our members are head teachers, deputies, assistants and school business managers. We provide representation, advice and training for school leaders in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We use our voice at the highest levels of government to influence policy for the benefit of leaders and learners everywhere.

When applying you will be required to complete an applicant cover form (which we will use for administration purposes), attach your CV, and include a cover letter.
We recommend when writing your cover letter you concentrate on demonstrating how you fit the job criteria;
- give specific examples and evidence
- think of evidence that you can quantify
- vary the examples you use
- draw on the most recent relevant experiences and achievements wherever possible.
Our process is to review each CV and cover letter in a shortlisting process; if you are not successful at this stage you will receive an email confirming this decision. If you are shortlisted you will be invited to an interview, this will be via an email and will require you to confirm your attendance.
