Commenting on the announcement that children aged between 5 and 11 are to be offered Covid-19 vaccinations, Paul Whiteman, general secretary of school leaders' union NAHT said:
“It is good that we now have clarity on the situation for younger children. Ultimately this will be a decision for individual families and it’s important that they have access to accurate information and appropriate medical advice. Unlike with older children, we assume that these vaccinations won’t take place in schools and therefore schools will have little involvement in the process.’
