Fair Funding for Wales: New report sounds alarm over budget cuts.

NAHT Cymru has launched a new report – Fair Funding For Wales: Ambitious Change Needs Real Spending.

The report, based on a survey of our members, attempts to lift the lid on the crisis that is school funding in Wales.

For too long, schools have suffered at the hands of austerity, unfunded pay awards and now spiralling utility costs have left many schools at breaking point.

The report demonstrates the real impact funding cuts are having to staffing and the knock-on effect this will inevitably have on the delivery of education.

We are calling for all 22 Local Authorities in Wales to meet with us, discuss the report and pledge to work together to ensure all that can be done to protect school finances.

We are going through an ambitious report agenda, but schools are being asked to do this without the tools they need.

Now is the time to make a stand, speak out and campaign for the money schools so desperately need.
