NAHT Northern Ireland has argued, for a number of years, that the Education Authority (EA) should provide a feedback mechanism to allow school leaders to directly give comment on how EA has supported, facilitated, advised or otherwise equipped them to do their jobs following a specific engagement. We have argued that such a mechanism should be a means through which the EA can identify areas that are not responding or functioning quickly or effectively.
The EA is now, accordingly, trialling a feedback form for a three-month period to 'allow the organisation to determine any trends in feedback from schools which may be beneficial in helping to inform changes and support operational decisions around processes, procedures, resourcing, etc', and to 'inform the decision as to whether there is a requirement to provide this type of solution to schools on an ongoing basis'.
Read the EA communication to schools issued this week, which contains the link to access the feedback form.
