Leading with Purpose: Campaigning for Change, Supporting Through Challenges
Cynhadledd NAHT Cymru 2025 - Arwain â Phwrpas: Ymgyrchu dros Newid, Cefnogi Trwy Heriau
Venue: Cornerstone, Cardiff
As members across Wales continue to face unprecedented challenges in education, NAHT Cymru is here to ensure you have what you need to deliver.
This year’s conference theme captures both the advocacy and support we offer, demonstrating our strength around campaigning for the issues that matter to you and delivering the support you need to face the challenges of your role.
We know that you not only need us to champion important causes that have a real impact on your everyday lives as leaders, but you need the tools, guidance, and solidarity required to overcome the obstacles you encounter in your positions.
Our conference will give you the opportunity to hear directly what we are doing to support you, from our campaign and lobbying activity, to our grassroots programme of support.
NAHT Cymru President Dafydd Jones will lead conference and will be joined by Cabinet Secretary for Education Lynne Neagle MS who will be on hand to discuss the matters of the moment and take questions from members.
HMI Owen Evans will join us for a second year to discuss Estyn’s work and talk about how new inspection arrangements are working – or not- across Wales, while in conversation with NAHT Cymru National Secretary Laura Doel.
As well as championing what we are doing locally and nationally to support members through our campaign work, there will also be support available for members who continue to face daily challenge on an individual basis.
We are delighted to be joined by Faye McGuiness from Education Support, a long-time friend of NAHT Cymru who is offering a huge amount of wellbeing support for leaders in Wales at the moment.
Gemma Drinkall, Educational Well-being Coach from Headsphere will also be speaking about the techniques you can deploy to help you with your well-being.
Exhibitors and networking time will round off the event which promises to be just the break from school you need to recharge, regroup and take strength from colleagues in the same position as you, knowing that your union has your back.
We look forward to you joining us.
Wrth i aelodau ledled Cymru barhau i wynebu heriau digynsail ym myd addysg, mae NAHT Cymru yma i sicrhau bod gennych chi’r hyn sydd angen i chi gyflawni eich gwaith.
Mae thema’r gynhadledd eleni yn ymwneud â’r eiriolaeth a’r gefnogaeth a gynigiwn, gan ddangos ein cryfder o ran ymgyrchu dros y materion sy’n bwysig i chi a darparu’r cymorth sydd ei angen arnoch i wynebu heriau eich rôl.
Rydyn ni'n gwybod eich bod chi nid yn unig angen i ni hyrwyddo achosion pwysig sy'n cael effaith wirioneddol ar eich bywydau bob dydd fel arweinwyr, ond hefyd yr offer, yr arweiniad a'r undod sydd eu hangen arnoch i oresgyn y rhwystrau rydych chi'n dod ar eu traws yn eich swyddi.
Bydd ein cynhadledd yn rhoi’r cyfle i chi glywed yn uniongyrchol yr hyn yr ydym yn ei wneud i’ch cefnogi, o’n gweithgarwch ymgyrchu a lobïo, i’n rhaglen gymorth ar lawr gwlad.
Llywydd NAHT Cymru, Dafydd Jones, fydd yn arwain y gynhadledd a bydd Ysgrifennydd y Cabinet dros Addysg, Lynne Neagle ASC, wrth law i drafod materion cyfoes a chymryd cwestiynau gan aelodau.
Bydd yr AEF Owen Evans yn ymuno â ni am yr ail flwyddyn i drafod gwaith Estyn a siarad am sut mae trefniadau arolygu newydd yn gweithio – neu ddim – ar draws Cymru, wrth sgwrsio ag Ysgrifennydd Cenedlaethol NAHT Cymru, Laura Doel.
Yn ogystal â hyrwyddo’r hyn rydym yn ei wneud yn lleol ac yn genedlaethol i gefnogi aelodau trwy ein gwaith ymgyrchu, bydd cymorth ar gael hefyd i aelodau sy’n parhau i wynebu her ddyddiol ar sail unigol.
Rydym yn falch iawn o gael cwmni Faye McGuiness o Gymorth Addysg, ffrind i NAHT Cymru ers amser maith, sy'n cynnig llawer iawn o gymorth llesiant i arweinwyr yng Nghymru ar hyn o bryd.
Bydd Gemma Drinkall, Hyfforddwr Llesiant Addysgol o Headsphere hefyd yn siarad am y technegau y gallwch eu defnyddio i'ch helpu gyda'ch llesiant.
Bydd arddangoswyr ac amser rhwydweithio hefyd yn y digwyddiad, sy'n argoeli i fod y seibiant o'r ysgol sydd ei angen arnoch i ail-wefru a chymryd nerth oddi wrth gydweithwyr sydd yn yr un sefyllfa â chi, gan wybod bod eich undeb yn gefn i chi.
Edrychwn ymlaen at eich gweld chi yno.
