NAHT responds to IFS briefing on Labour plan for free breakfast clubs in schools

Responding to a new briefing by the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) on Labour's plans for free breakfast clubs in schools if the party forms the next government, Paul Whiteman, general secretary at school leaders' union NAHT, said:

“Many schools already have breakfast clubs for pupils, and we support their expansion where practically possible.

"However, it’s important that this policy is fully funded, and we should look at a variety of models for how such clubs can be delivered without expecting more from existing school staff.”
