NAHT welcomes new programme enabling pupils to talk to Holocaust survivors who are no longer with us

Responding to a new initiative in which the Holocaust Education Trust has developed technology to allow school pupils to have conversations with Holocaust survivors who are no longer with us, Paul Whiteman, general secretary at school leaders’ union NAHT, said:

“This fantastic use of technology will support the learning of generations of young people. The testimony of survivors is so impactful and this programme will ensure this continues even when they are sadly no longer here to tell their stories.

“Through education we can change minds, and challenge prejudice. Schools have a unique and vital role to play in this work and are committed to doing so as part of a societal-wide approach.”
