Sarah Hannafin, senior policy advisor for school leaders’ union NAHT, said: “Since government made the announcement last summer that school level KS4 and 16-18 performance data would be published, NAHT has been absolutely clear that this was the wrong decision. The decision to publish GCSE and A-Level performance data must be reversed – that data would simply be a reflection of the differing impact of the pandemic on students and schools, not fit for the purposes of accountability.”
