The NAHT Small and Rural Schools' Network was launched at a fringe event of NAHT Annual Conference in 2019, chaired by Cumbria head teacher, Graham Frost.
The network of NAHT members was established in recognition of the unique challenges facing small and rural schools, particularly around funding, workload and recruitment and retention.
Since then, NAHT has conducted a survey of members in small schools (150 pupils or fewer on roll).
Read about the concerns that emerged in the survey.
As we recover from the pandemic, the NAHT Small and Rural Schools' Network will be looking to grow and meet more frequently to discuss and plan how to achieve improvements for our schools.
If you are an NAHT member and would like to be part of the network and join future meetings, please sign up to receive network emails below.
