National School Sports Week 2023: help spread the word about the importance of physical activity in children’s lives

NAHT has recently been invited to be part of the Youth Sport Trust advisory board. Amanda Martin, NAHT's MATs strategy officer, is keen for members to get their schools and families involved in next week's National School Sports Week (19-25 June 2023).

The week will focus on encouraging schools and families to pledge to be active for a minimum of 60 minutes a day. Making the #PledgeToPlay helps spread the word to more schools and families across the country about the importance of physical activity for children, and the real difference it can make in the lives of young people.

If you'd like your school, family and/or organisation to get involved, you can take the pledge here. You'll then be given access to a range of supporting materials and resources to help and inspire you – including video case studies, advice, and tips on how to get young people active.
