NAHT recognises Women's History Month as a positive opportunity to support schools in their ongoing work to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in the UK and around the world, both during the month itself and throughout the year. In 2024, Women's History Month is focusing on women who advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion.
International Women’s Day
Friday 8 March 2024 is International Women’s Day with the theme of #InspireInclusion, which aims to get the world talking about how we can collectively forge women's equality.
The day is an opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness against bias, and take action for equity. People are sharing photographs of themselves on social media hugging themselves to demonstrate a commitment to embrace equity, alongside the campaign hashtags #IWD2024 and #InspireInclusion. Tag or mention @NAHTnews on X, and we'll share your photographs with other school leaders across the UK.
