NAHT middle leaders

 

For middle leaders 

NAHT has a category of membership specifically for middle leaders. We offer tailored support and services for middle leaders, online advice and resources, and full trade union protection to give you peace of mind.

Am I eligible? 

To be eligible to join NAHT, you need have a leadership responsibility within an education setting. Roles that are eligible include ALENCO, SENCO, phase leaders and subject leaders. This is not an exhaustive list and if you would like further clarification please email joinus@naht.org.uk.

Classroom 

If you have responsibility in a specific area of the curriculum or are simply interested in best practice, our guides can help. 

Employment

If you want to know about your employment rights and whether you're being treated fairly and consistently, you can find help and advice on matters which may concern you as an employee. 

Management 

If you line manage staff or have accountability for a specific area, you can access help and advice to assist you in making informed decisions when carrying out your role.

Jersey General Election 2022

NAHT Jersey along with NASUWT, NEU, Prospect, and Unite has produced a charter for education for General Election 2022 which sets out four key priorities:

  • Meeting the needs of all children
  • Well-being
  • Funding
  • Recruitment, retention and development of education staff.
     

We urge all prospective candidates to place these at the heart of everything they do if elected to the States Assembly.

Pledge for education

We are also calling on all candidates to sign up to our pledge for education:

‘I pledge to work with the profession, listening to and acting on the views of education professionals in the best interests of all learners. I commit to working with the Jersey joint education trade unions on their Charter for Education.’

Education hustings

The education trade unions and public services unions in Jersey have organised a hustings event focused on education. It is an opportunity for those interested in the future of education to hear from the candidates who wish to represent them in the States Assembly.

All candidates in the constituencies have been invited to attend:
