NEW FREE webinar. This session will not be recorded but materials will be shared.
Facilitator: Jon Andrews
Aims
Ahead of the budget at the end of October, and the Spending Review that will conclude in spring of 2025, this session will consider the situation with school funding in England.
It will examine recent trends in the overall level of revenue funding in primary and secondary schools, how funding has been allocated through the national funding formula, and the challenges in the high needs block.
In the session we will share findings from recent Education Policy Institute reports examining the impact of falling school rolls over the current parliament, how we could better target funding towards the most disadvantaged, and a proposal for a post-16 version of the pupil premium.
