Ginny Bootman

Ginny is an educator with over 25 years in primary education as a classroom practitioner, SENCO and Headteacher. She is currently SENCO of four primary schools in Northamptonshire.

Ginny believes in her mantra #Followtheempathyroad and embodies this in everything she does. She writes and talks nationally about how this can be embedded within the whole school environment through a caring approach that involves listening to others and putting ourselves in their shoes. Ginny has recently spoken at The National SEND conference as well as NASENLive. She also works to coach and mentor SENCOs and lectures about the role empathy plays in building up relationships with children in school. Ginny loves the breadth her job gives her which allows her to share her passion through an empathy-based approach.

Andrew Hammond

An experienced school leader, having worked in schools for over twenty-five years as a Class-teacher, Head of English, Director of Studies, Deputy Head Academic and Headteacher in both the independent and maintained sectors. He has delivered CPD in over 150 schools and is a regular speaker at educational conferences, both in the UK and internationally. A prolific author, Andrew has written over thirty titles for a range of educational and trade publishers. He is currently Headteacher at Hall School Wimbledon and serves as Education Adviser at Discovery Education. He is lead author and series editor of NAHT Discovery Education Pathway.
