Buttle UK is a charity dedicated to helping children and young people in crisis in the UK.
With the support of partners like NAHT, Buttle UK provide individual grants for children in poverty and crisis. The grants provide packages of support, worth up to £2,400, which are made up of tangible items and activities to support the physical, emotional and educational needs of the children and young people we support.
These grants consist of things that any child would be expected to have growing up in the UK to have, but which some parents and carers cannot afford.
Buttle UK's Chances for Children grants include items such as:
- £50 for a new set of shirts and trousers for school uniforms
- £100 for activities to help children settle into community
- £250 for a bed frame, mattress, duvet, pillow, bedding
- £400 for a laptop for study
By meeting immediate, practical needs, Buttle UK help provide a stable foundation to support children and young people to recover from trauma and unlock their potential. Through Buttle UK's work over the years, they have seen how even the smallest interventions can have the most profound impact on the young people we support.
