The curriculum provides for the teaching of LGBT topics in an age-appropriate manner, which also forms an integral component of the school’s safeguarding strategy.

We have observed that many members have received queries and challenges in relation to their teaching of LGBT subjects in line with the relationships education, relationships and sex education (RSE) and health education. To support members, NAHT has developed a template letter containing suggested wording for effectively responding to these queries.
