The British Council is a major and valued partner of NAHT and supports the development of educational and cultural links with schools and countries across the world.

European School Heads Association (ESHA)

ESHA is an organisation for European school leaders. It is the European organisation that brings school leaders from across Europe together. As a member of NAHT, you are also a member of ESHA and are able to access resources and book to attend ESHA events.

Biennial 2023 in Dubrovnik

Don’t forget to save the date! ESHA bienal 2023 will be held on 24 to 27 October 2023 in Dubrovnik. The conference website will soon be available, along with detailed information. If members would like to recommend speakers, they are requested to email their ideas.

Support for Ukrainian school heads

An important idea to support our Ukrainian school head colleagues was presented: all ESHA members are invited to sponsor one entrance ticket (and hotel costs if possible) for the Biennial for one Ukrainian school head. The biennial host member has announced it will sponsor the participation of one delegate. This opportunity to help is open to the public - if you wish to do this, or know any other organisation that will, please contact luca.laszlo@esha.org.

It recognises that we have achieved a lot in terms of building a cohesive society here in the UK, but discrimination, promotion of hatred, extremism, and exclusion persist, and we must play our part, no matter how large or small, to create a better and safer society for all.

Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO)

VSO provides volunteers with an opportunity to make a difference overseas. VSO volunteers and partners reached over 1,000,000 people last year. They brought inspiration, energy and vital practical skills to help achieve community goals: better healthcare, more valuable education and broader opportunities.
