Commenting on GCSE exam results today (12 August), President of school leaders’ union NAHT (NI), Graham Gault said: “Like our BTec and A-Level students earlier in the week, our GCSE students have demonstrated the greatest resilience in their achievements, as recognised by their results today. Only they, their teachers and their families, can fully appreciate the levels of hard work, enterprise, independence and consistency that have been required to navigate through GCSE courses during the pandemic.
“On behalf of our school leaders, we are thoroughly proud of our young people and the staff who have taught and supported them.”
