NAHT Crown Dependencies

NAHT represents school leaders in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. We provide advice, training and support for our members on a range of issues faced by senior leaders in schools. Along with our colleagues in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, NAHT is there to defend and extend the rights of school leaders.

NAHT briefing for members on the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill

The first reading of the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill took place in parliament on 17 December 2024. The provisions within the bill are extensive and varied in nature.

In our briefing document, we highlight the aspects of the bill that are most likely to have an impact on schools and NAHT members.

As the bill progresses through parliament, it could be subject to amendment, so members should keep a close eye out for any updates we provide.
