NAHT Crown Dependencies

NAHT represents school leaders in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. We provide advice, training and support for our members on a range of issues faced by senior leaders in schools. Along with our colleagues in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, NAHT is there to defend and extend the rights of school leaders. 

Department for Education seeks five more Flexible working ambassador MATs and schools (FWAMS)

The Department for Education (DfE) recently appointed seven Flexible working ambassador multi-academy trusts and schools (FWAMS). It is now launching a second round of the competition to recruit a further five:

  • three to be appointed on a regional basis – in the North East, East Midlands and West Midlands,
  • one dedicated to supporting AP/PRU settings (applicants for this role must be an Alternative Provision/Pupil Referral Unit), and
  • one school to support MATs and schools in areas of high disadvantage. (applicants for this role must have higher-than-average percentages of pupils eligible for the deprivation pupil premium).
     

Ambassador schools and trusts will support the delivery of a culture change programme through offering bespoke support, producing practical resources, and engaging in awareness activity.

The DfE-run grant competition to appoint these ambassadors is open for applications until 12 noon on 21 July (applicants will need to register with the DfE's e-tendering portal, Jaggaer, to submit an application.)
