NAHT Crown Dependencies

NAHT represents school leaders in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. We provide advice, training and support for our members on a range of issues faced by senior leaders in schools. Along with our colleagues in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, NAHT is there to defend and extend the rights of school leaders.

Family and parental leave – a model policy for school leaders

This model policy set outs an approach to maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental and other family related leave. It can be used by school leaders to support staff members who need to take time off work for family related reasons, while ensuring a fair and transparent approach in line with duties under the Equality Act 2010. NAHT has developed this model policy alongside The Key.
